What to Expect

This 2-day, 12 hour workshop is highly focused on the OASIS-C data collection rules. These rules continue to evolve, and "Blueprint" keeps you up to date, always providing the key source resources and source documents which you can rely upon after the workshop. Empowering staff with defendable OASIS scoring practices provides your agency with the winning outcomes and proper reimbursement you deserve to provide quality care. All sessions are presented by two expert instructors who have earned the Certificate for OASIS Specialist – Clinical (COS-C) designation. The Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy program serves as the premier review workshop for the COS-C exam.
This 2-day 13 contact hour workshop is designed:
- To support the educational needs of home health clinicians in achieving comprehension and accuracy in OASIS data collection using guidelines established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
- To provide a preparatory review for candidates for the COS-C (Certificate for OASIS Specialist - Clinical) examination.
- To supply you with the knowledge and tools necessary to boost your confidence and improve your foundation of data precision.

FACULTY

Linda Krulish, PT, MHS, COS-C 
Linda, a physical therapist in home care since 1988, is a nationally recognized expert on OASIS and home health quality improvement. She serves as a consultant to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and its contractors, assisting in quality improvement measures and initiatives, PPS- models analysis and enhancement, refinement of the OASIS data set and resulting measures, and development of related support and training materials. Currently she oversees the contract managing the national CMS OASIS Q&A Mailbox and overseeing the annual training of the state OASIS Education Coordinators. She is the President and a Founding Member of the OASIS Certificate and Competency Board (OCCB), and President and Founder of OASIS ANSWERS, Inc.
Kim Corral, BSN, Ma Ed, HCS-D, COS-C
Kim is a registered nurse, practicing in home health since 1984. She has held both clinical and operational positions at the regional and national level. Kim has extensive experience speaking for national home care organizations on OASIS data collection and strategies, documentation standards, operational processes to support OASIS and ICD-9 coding accuracy. She holds both the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical and the Home Care Coding Specialist-Diagnosis certification. Kim is an Associate Consultant with OASIS ANSWERS, Inc.

The scope of the COS-C exam includes CMS instructions related to the OASIS time points, regulations and patient populations and item specific scoring and always test on guidance that is current as of the testing date. Candidates who successfully complete the examination are awarded the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) designation.

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEU)

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #CEP2463) and by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (Provider #PCE588) for up to thirteen (13) contact hours of continuing education. You must be present for the entire 2-day workshop to earn CE Credit Hours. No partial credits can be given.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations received 10 business days prior to the program date are subject to a 20% handling fee. Cancellations must be in writing. NO REFUNDS will be issued for cancellations received within 10 business days of the program. Refunds will NOT be made for no-shows. However, substitutions will be allowed. Should CAHSAH cancel the program, a full registration fee refund will be issued. |
